Musical Mondays!

Hopefully this will be a new segment of the blog if all goes well (fingers-crossed everyone!), I'd like to make Monday's 'Musical Mondays!'.

Alright first up is a band I just found that I think should be WAY more popular. They're a band called Globus. I am actually going to go to wikipedia to get some more info.....

Globus is the commercial name of a mix of producers, musicians and vocalists from the prominent movie trailer music production company Immediate Music. The lead composers are Yoav Goran and Jeffery Fayman.
Globus was launched in 2006 in response to an influx of requests to Immediate Music to make their distinctive, rousing orchestral cues available to the general public by means of a conventional CD release.
Globus' live world premiere took place in The Grand Hall, Wembley, London, on 26 July 2006 and an album was released in August of that year. Feeder's Mark Richardson is featured on drums.

Here is one of their songs that I really like:
This one is called "Orchard of Mines" and its actually really beautiful, so please listen to it

and another one is...

This one is "Take Me Away" and its beginning is probably my favorite, its got a somewhat creepy vibe, but I think it would be perfect for a video game!!!

The second musical group I want to bring to everyones' attention is a band called Broken Iris. And once again here is some info on them courtesy of Last FM Radio.

Striving to be free of limitations and to steer from the norm, Broken Iris has unleashed a unique and original force of sound. With a mixture of symphonic textures, ambient atmospheres, powerfully pristine vocals, and thought provoking lyrics, the band has carved a niche with a sound they can truly call their own. Broken Iris is steadily growing and gaining exposure with their debut album “The Eyes of Tomorrow” and they are definitely a band to look out for.
For more info check here: http://www.myspace.com/brokeniris

One of my favorite songs of theirs is "Beautiful Girl" its really sad, but so so beautiful! So please listen to it below

Last musical group for the day is a band that is dear to my heart (my cousin is in it =D), the band is called We Shot the Moon
Some info about the band is below (once again courtesy of Wikipedia)

We Shot the Moon, formerly known as The Honor Roll, is a band from San Diego, California featuring Jonathan Jones the singer of Waking Ashland, and originally, Dan Koch, and Joe Greenetz both from the band Sherwood. For more info go here: http://www.weshotthemoon.com/naca/

I love all their music but I am only going to put two up here:
This is their song "Sway Your Head" and it always helps make me feel better

This is their song "LTFP" I just love the feel of the song =)

Autograph since when?

Hello fellow readers, bored members of the world, and fellow bloggers! I have THREE things to tell you all! First is two of my best friends (my twin sister and my friend Blair) have started their own blogs! I'll put the links to them at the bottom =) And one of my best friends, Courtney, had something happen to her that usually only happens to famous people (but you'll have to read below to find out).

Blair's is basically for her mother, but it also talks about some troubles that other teens are probably having/had - family troubles. Now firstly, don't say that she shouldn't be putting up personal info online, most people do, and secondly this could help people who are going through the same thing. But realize its not all about family its also about some things that teenagers go through (Love, friendship, school, etc.). Check out her blog to find all the details!

Morgan's is about Highschool, we all (or most of us) go through it - the bullying, the grueling homework, the changes - and most of us realize it can really suck from time to time, so its her story of surviving her journey through highschool. So once again, please check both blogs out.

The third story is about one of my best friends, Courtney! Courtney is a waitress at a restraunt (that I will not name because thats her privacy!), and yesterday while she was working, some random man asked for her autograph. And I thought that only happened to celebrities! (but you are a celebrity in my eyes Courtney!)

So those are the stories for today =) But I have an idea, I was thinking of making Saturdays my featurette day, like finding amazing YouTube videos, artists, writers, etc. and giving them a shout out! What do you all think about that? (And if you want to share someone elses work, just tell me or give me the link, I'll be happy to show them off)

Starting a blog...who knew?

Hi all, this isn't my first time starting a blog, but I actually tend to keep working on this one. Being a student in any grade, age, or brains is tough, but we've all got talents, stories and hobbies. Well I wanted a place where people could do just that - show off their skills. Got nothing to share? Sure you do, it could be something like - you caught a ball in gym today or you found five bucks on the sidewalk. You might think I'm crazy, but hey, I'm only a teenager.
